"Love your site. Very informative, creative and sometimes funny. I am a baby boomer and I live in the city that is home to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It is a great place to visit, I have spent the better part of 7 hours a day visiting all the exibits. Your site loads quickly, colors are clear and crisp and navigation is smooth. Good luck."

"Way to go with your site design that loads fast to good info and great music. There is nothing on your site that should be change. This one of those sites that must be pass around to others and book mark all in one sitting. keep up the great work and I wish you the best of luck in the years to come.."

"Very interesting site you have here. I spent WAY too much time reading and checking it out. There is a TON of stuff here, and it took a little while to load, but if you're patient, it's worth the wait. Goodness, what a collection of pictures, articles and music. Thanks for checking us out. Good luck!"

I made hats for the movie Into the Wild,DVD Directed by Sean Penn
Heavy, true story, and beautiful/sad/touching.
You been warned

I was very pleased to see that the Baby Boomer Rock and Roll website,
created and hosted by "The Ol' Hippie" (a member of this Discussion
Group), posted info about my seeing the Doors in Danbury CT in 1967,
and made reference to my two books.

I appreciate it very much.

I was at the concert in 74. Hitched a ride from Chicago area. The chicago loop radio station had a hot line for getting rides to the concert. Thats how we got our ride down there. Got down there thrusday, Left Sunday. It was a awesome concert. Seeing these web sites brought lots of memories back to me. I have never seen photos till I stumbled on these web sites. I remember seeing Ted Nugent from about fifty feet. He was jumping off the speakers. An at the end he threw his guitar in the crowd. I was so stoned watching him that night.  I remember waking up on some ones hood of there car, which I thought was ours.  It took me hours to find our camp site. Pot was every where.  And people were sharing. Kool. I did meet 3 more of my friends down there at the concert. That was like a needle in the hay stack finding them. I could go on and on telling what I seen. I wish they would release the video.  Is there any way to get copies of the pictures that are posted?

Regards NicK from IL
Hi Nick, think I remember seeing you there, man you were fucked up ! About the pictures, I think you could copy the pics from here, then get paper copies made from those, somewhere.

Message: Hi, I was 18 years old when I attended with my friends. It was my friend,Kathy\'s b-day! we hitchhiked from Calumet City Illinois. Met up with people we knew at the fest! What odds!I saw Joe Walsh come down in a hot air balloon and I remember the crowd went nuts to Free Bird! My friend, whose b-day it was still had her green wrist band they put on us at the festival! she has passed away, but i think her daughter still has it. It was the best time I ever experienced. Nothing will compare. I wish I could talk to others who attended. I don\'t remember alot of the 3 days!lol Kimm

Ol' Hippie: Well Kim, if ya want I'll unblock your email address so people can write to you.

I LOVE the music! *** I have to comment on the marijuana ads; I am not in favor of legalizing marijuana. I am undecided about using marijuana for medical purposes. I would NOT look down on anyone who is suffering from cancer and uses ‘whatever is necessary’ to manage their pain. *** Back to the music… This site is spectacular! The music, the links, the history… it is all good. *** Sandy S Zoo www.cottoncandycloud.wordpress.com

MESSAGE: how old do u have to be to go to the hempfest?

Photobucket - Video and Image HostingOl' Hippie - Well Jesssi, I don't know for sure. Smoking marijuana is not really allowed at HempFest (it is illegal) so if you are not doing anything that is illlegal, than you should be allowed to attend BUT THAT IS MY OPINION. you should contact someone at Seattle HempFest (if this is the one you want to attend) HERE . One word of advice, don't go if you are planning on trying to score pot or sell pot. All laws are enforced. If ya go have a good time ! You are really to young anyway to smoke marijuana, if it is ever legalized, it will only be for legal age adults. At your age it would tend to lead you to hard drugs which is NOT cool.
